UGO-SANBI MoU Signed
Historic milestone for youth-led conservation
UGO Executive Chairman Talifhani Tshitwamulomoni announced a historic Memorandum of Understanding with the South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) on 17 February 2025. This marks the first time in SANBI's 100+ year history that they've partnered with a youth-led organisation, driving inclusive conservation initiatives.

90-day youth-leadership exchange programme
Applications are now open for the 2025 UGO Fellowship cohort! This fully funded 90-day youth-leadership exchange programme includes a seven-day international exchange in Botswana, Kenya and South Africa for tertiary students aged 18-32.
